We finally got our film pictures developed from when we first got the girls. Super cute! Seems like they've grown up so fast. Sometimes I wish they could have stayed young forever...

Back in France - and on the way to 'Condom en Armagnac'. The first pictures are of a wonderfully photogenic village on the way that I wish I had had time to explore. Condom has a large Cathedral which dominates the town centre. And to which I will return. Condom is the centre of the Armagnac trade and many distilleries and 'caves' are located in Condom and nearby villages. But of course since our air restrictions you cant actually buy any!!! RANT RANT In past centuries, supplies of Armagnac were shipped in barrels from the small Port down the Baise River (pictured) to the Garonne and then to Bordeaux. But now ....? Well I quite fancy a holiday in Condom and some serious tasting!!!! (Claude- no, not when you are there!!!!)

Looks like a Full Moon, its actually a Waxing Gibbous Moon The waxing gibbous Moon is very nearly full and illuminated generally from the right. This phase of the Moon is seen to rise sometime in the afternoon when few people are looking at the sky. This is why it usually goes unnoticed until it gets dark at sunset. By that time the gibbous Moon is well above the southeastern horizon. The Moon is in this phase for nearly a week between first quarter and full. Just a day or so before Full Moon the waxing gibbous Moon appears nearly full and might be mistaken for a full Moon. The Moon in this phase sets just shortly before sunrise.
